Overview of our work in Scotland’s prisons

The Commission has made a statement in response to the United Nations Human Rights Committee’s Seventh Periodic Review of the UK’s implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).

Our Commissioner, Professor Alan Miller, recently gave a presentation to the UN in his role as Secretary of the International Coordinating Committee of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) on "Why the United Nations New York based processes need NHRIs – with reference to the Sustainable Development Goals”.

The Commission has submitted a report to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child on the United Kingdom's periodic report on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
