Reflection - Nelson Mandela

Professor Alan Miller said: "The Scottish Human Rights Commission pays tribute to the life of Nelson Mandela and will continue to draw inspiration from his commitment to universal human rights.

"Mandela epitomised the human spirit - transcending race, class and nationality - and brought out the best in all of us. We are all bigger in ourselves because of him.

"The Commission pledges to work with all of our sister national human rights institutions around the world, including our close colleagues in the South African Human Rights Commission, to carry on his legacy and strive to build a world in which all can live with human dignity."
