Member of the Commission announcement

Jim Farish, who has been a Commissioner with the SHRC since 2022, has made the decision to step down from his role. 

Jim has made a very positive contribution to the Commission, steering the Independent Governance Review and implementation, as well as public engagement and leadership on our new Strategic Plan 2024-28. 

Professor Angela O’Hagan is the new Chair of the Commission. She said: 

“I am sorry to see Jim go, as he has been a strong voice with the Commission and has provided me with very useful insight in my short time in office.  On behalf of the Commission, we thank him for his contribution and wish him all the very best.”
