Commission's contribution to the consultation on National Health and Wellbeing Outcomes
The Commission has taken the opportunity presented by the Scottish Government's consultation on the National Health and Wellbeing Outcomes to outline how they can better align with a human rights based approach.
Cathy Asante, Human Rights Based Approach Legal Officer at the Commission, said:
"The National Health and Wellbeing Outcomes present a culture shift in health and social care from talking about people's needs to talking about their rights. This is essential to make sure everyone using health and social care services, when they are often at their most vulnerable, are treated with the dignity they deserve."
