Commission Chair delivers statement to UN on sport and human rights

Our Chair Judith Robertson has delivered a statement about the impact of major sporting events on human rights to the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Drawing on Scotland's experience of hosting the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014, Ms Robertson highlights how major sporting events can help to promote and protect human rights and calls on states around the world to apply lessons learned from Scotland's experiences.
