Issues to Screen workshop, Document 9 Human Rights Film Festival
This collaborative event aims to facilitate connections between emerging film-making talent in Scotland, and charities and NGOs in Scotland that campaign on human rights issues with a view to promoting the use of film to tell a story.
The event will open with two case studies exploring the successes and challenges of issues-based making. The audience will then be split into pairs where the policy representative will outline some key campaign messages and the film maker will be asked to respond with a possible creative treatment. Everyone will move on into a new pair in a carousel style set-up. It is intended to be quite fast-paced and (we hope) fun!
