Kavita is one of the Legal Officers at the Commission. She is a Scots law qualified solicitor with a specialist background in human rights issues. Kavita has experience in the public and private sector in designing and delivering human rights training and best practice management tools. Prior to working with the Commission Kavita specialised in business and human rights issues at McGrigors law firm and has experience of advising a range of multinational companies on how to manage their human rights responsibilities, particularly when operating in sensitive regions around the world. Kavita received her LLM in human rights law from the London School of Economics and Political Science in December 2009.
